Dr. Austin Hansen is a highly trained podiatrist serving Cape Coral and Fort Myers, FL. He completed his bachelor's degree in Biotechnology at the University of Nebraska-Omaha and earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Hansen completed his residency at the University of Miami-Bruce W. Carter Veteran’s Hospital, where he gained extensive training in foot and ankle surgery, minimally invasive surgical techniques, ankle scopes, sports medicine, trauma, diabetic foot care, advanced wound care, plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, arthritis, neuropathy, vascular issues, and limb salvage.
Outside of podiatry, Dr. Hansen enjoys spending time with family, hunting, fishing, participating in church events, and relaxing at the beach. He is excited to serve the Southwest Florida community with the latest evidence-based medicine to diagnose and treat foot and ankle pathologies. He is currently welcoming new patients at his Cape Coral and Fort Myers office locations.

This was my first visit to the Ft Myers office. . I have been in the practice for over two years and saw Dr Martyka but since he moved it was not convenient for me. So I moved to this office . From the minute I walked in the door I got a warm welcome and a confident feeling arose within me. Dr Hansen emanates knowledge and caring. It’s nice to know that I’m once again with a good practitioner.
